Our Doctrine

Our church has a Pentecostal heritage with its beginning traced the New Testament book of Acts. The word Pentecost means fifty which was a time of celebration for completion of the grain harvest in Israel. The Day of Pentecost is connected to the outpouring of the gift of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 and therefore is the day on which the New Testament church was born. God continues to pour out His Spirit to this present day. One of the more famous outpourings being the Azusa street revival that took place in Los Angeles, California in 1906.

The theme of our church is
“A Life Changing Ministry”

We believe the Bible is God's Word and that we should live in obedience to it. Below are a few scriptures regarding our faith and teachings.

1. Repentance from sin and self serving lifestyle

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” (Acts 3:19) 2. Water baptism in Jesus Name

“And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” (Acts 22:16) 3. Holy Ghost infilling evidenced by speaking in an unknown tongue

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:4) 4. Oneness of God

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” (Deuteronomy 6:4 - 5) 5. Divine Healing

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:14 - 15) 6. Gifts of the Spirit

“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.” (1 Cor. 12:4)
